Youth Sunday
School (St. Peter's A.M. or SPAM) All youth,
sixth - twelfth grades, are asked to gather at
10:30 a.m. in Wesley Youth Center each Sunday
morning for announcements and for
sharing joys and concerns. They will then
go to the following rooms:

Youth
Mission Opportunities
In addition to monthly service outreach
projects, there are summer work camp experiences,
including Rainbow Camp (Jr. High) and U. M. ARMY
(Sr. High). The youth are very involved with Jamaica
missions, Sudanese Freedom Walk, JUMMP, Katy Christian
Ministries' food and school supply drives, as
well as Christmas gifts for Rainbow Camp and more.

District/Conference
Youth Activities St. Peter's is active in district- and
conference- level youth ministry. This offers
wonderful experiences for our youth beyond the
local church level.
District
Camp A week at Lakeview Methodist Conference
Center in Palestine. Open to all children and
youth entering grades 5-12 in the fall.
Adventures
& Trips Winter Retreats to Lakeview, ski trips,
music and mission trips, Spring Break trip to
Jamaica for graduating seniors.
Covenant
Club A fellowship and confirmation program for students in the sixth grade, which meets on Sunday afternoons from 4-6 p.m. during the school year. Covenant Club takes field trips, has retreats, and participates in many fun activities.

Adolescents
in Recovery (AIR) Nondenominational
substance abuse program for teens 13-17 years
in age. Meets Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon. Parents
meet at the same time. The teens also meet daily
at 2:30-6:30 p.m. This is a modified 12-step program.

Scouting St. Peter's sponsors two Boy Scout Troops and two Cub Scout Packs. Troop
209 meets Tuesdays and Troop 230 meets on Mondays. Cub Scout Pack 209 meets at Pattison Elementary School and Pack 346 meets at Nottingham Country Elementary. Check with each Cub Scout Pack for times of Pack meetings and Den meetings.
God and Country religious awards are available through Rev. Richard Bauman. God and Me ,God and Family , and God and Church are offered in each year usually in January. God and Life is for senior high youth who wish a more in depth spiritual study.
Fall
Confirmation St. Peter's
offers confirmation to those youth who move into
our church after the sixth grade and would like
to know about the United Methodist Church and
St. Peter's before joining. This class is open
to youth from 7th grade through 12th grade and
usually meets on Sunday mornings. Invitations
are extended to anyone in this age group not currently
a member.
